Also known as Hormone replacement therapy - Menopausal hormone therapy - MHT
Estradiol with or without progesterone for perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms. Requires a real screen.
Hormone replacement therapy delivers estradiol (transdermal or oral) and, for anyone with a uterus, progesterone for endometrial protection. Best candidates: perimenopausal or menopausal women with vasomotor symptoms, sleep disruption, vaginal changes, or bone-density concerns. WHI re-analyses show net benefit when initiated inside 10 years of menopause onset or before age 60. Hard screens: history of breast or endometrial cancer, unexplained DVT or stroke, active liver disease, migraine with aura. Run the Women's Hormone panel and book the assessment; we'll route you to the right formulation or away from HRT if the screens flag.
